WISE Women employment program
At WISE Employment, we believe all women should be given the opportunity to thrive, make positive changes and succeed in achieving their employment dreams, no matter how big or small. That’s where WISE Women employment program comes in.
WISE Women is an employment program run by women for women, designed to help you reach your employment goals. You will be partnered with a dedicated, female Case Manager, who will work closely with you in a safe and welcoming environment. She will be with you every step of the way, providing extensive employment support – pre and post job placement.
Your Case Manager will help keep you inspired and on track during your employment journey and help you achieve your individual goals. They will assist you in building positive change through community connections, support services and resources.
Together, we will identify your needs and employment goals, explore your career priorities and your preferred pathway to success.
When more women has access to work, the economy and entire community benefits
Towards 2025, an Australian Government strategy to boost women’s workforce participation in highlights that “Increasing women’s workforce participation leads to better living standards for individuals and families, improves the bottom line of businesses and is a significant driver of national economic growth.”
United Nations (UN) Women mentions that “When more women work, economies grow. Women’s economic empowerment boosts productivity, increases economic diversification and income equality in addition to other positive development outcomes. For example, increasing the female employment rates in OECD countries to match that of Sweden, could boost GDP by over USD 6 trillion, recognising, however, that growth does not automatically lead to a reduction in gender-based inequality. Conversely, it is estimated that [employment] gender gaps cost the economy some 15 percent of GDP.”
WISE Women is currently running out of eight WISE Employment jobactive offices in Melbourne’s South East. In the future, we hope to offer the program nationally.
