WISE Women launches on NSW Central Coast

We are proud to announce the expansion of our WISE Women employment program, launching on the New South Wales Central Coast on International Women’s Day.

WISE Women launched in southeast Melbourne in February 2021 and has achieved incredible success over the last two years.

The program run by women, for women, aims to combat the significant impact COVID-19 had on women in the community and workplace. Additionally, there is a focus to educate employers on the importance of equality in the workforce and how to achieve this.

The four key values of WISE Women include:

  1. Providing women with economic security
  2. Reskilling and upskilling women to help with career changes
  3. Supporting women by linking them to established community groups, support and networks
  4. Connecting women with dedicated Case Managers ensuring the program is led by women for women

In Melbourne, WISE Women has successfully placed 199 customers into meaningful employment since the launch.

Along with the Victorian program, WISE Women will now run out of our WISE Employment Lake Haven and The Entrance offices.

Launching on International Women’s Day

To celebrate the launch of WISE Women, in conjunction with International Women’s Day, the team hosted a morning tea. In attendance, were the local WISE team, community, government and training organisations, customers and local employers.

The event was a big success and spread the word about the importance of having a program run by women, for women.
