Employment Generation Group: mental health workplace support
The WISE Ways to Work program helps people with mental health issues build skills for work and supports them on a pathway to paid employment. We are looking for proactive individuals who are committed to inclusive work environments to pioneer the development of the Employment Generation Group (EGG).
Good EGGs are workplace champions who recognise the value of inclusive, flexible workplaces and are committed to creating ‘sunny side up’ employment opportunities for people living with mental health issues.
The Employment Generation Group will help to provide a graded range of vocational and employment opportunities for people living with mental health issues. Good EGG employers will offer tours, taste testers and employment to program participants. The WISE Ways to Work team will provide assistance and training in best practice mental health workplace support.
If you are interested in being one of the pioneering Good EGGS please email James Murphy (and let him know how you like your eggs!)
WISE Ways to Work is supported by grants from the WISE Community Investment Fund, the Victorian Government, Department of Health and Human Services, and by philanthropic support from the Ian Potter Foundation, Gandel Philanthropy, and the Hugh Williamson Foundation.
