We are excited to announce the launch of WISE Employment Korea after acquiring local employment services provider Mirae Employment Information in July 2023.
WISE Employment Korea operates six branches in the Greater Seoul area, with the primary office in the Gimpo region. We are delighted to welcome 30+ team members from Mirae Employment Information into the WISE team.
WISE Employment Korea is focused on the Korean Government mainstream employment services contract (NESS under the Ministry of Employment and Labour), as well as some Youth services, and is the 19th largest NESS provider in Korea.
Mirae Employment Information has a history of excellent customer service, which aligns closely with the WISE vision and mission. In 2022, Mirae Employment Information was awarded ‘Best Employment Service Award’ from the Ministry of Employment and Labour.
Speaking of the entry into the Korean market, WISE Employment Regional Director, Asia, Ary Laufer said that “WISE is extremely excited to be working with a talented group of staff to bring the WISE vision to Korea. We are looking forward to expanding our social impact for the people and community of Korea”.
WISE Employment Korea intends to begin the process of registering as a Social Enterprise (not-for-profit) with the KOSEA (Ministry of Social Enterprise), in line with our ethos as a community-based organisation. This will ensure we remain community oriented, as one of the few large Social Enterprises in the Korean Employment Services market. WISE Employment Korea will focus on improving the lives of the disadvantaged and most marginalised persons across the community.
WISE Employment Korea will be headed up by Country Manager Joo Sung (Jason) Han. Jason brings extensive international experience in HR and building organisations through change.
“WISE Employment Korea intends to grow and expand our services in Korea in the coming years, with the aim of servicing many communities, including people with disabilities” says Laufer.
Mirae Employment Information officially changed its name to WISE Employment Korea in August 2023.
