Driving social change and creating sustainable and meaningful employment is important to us. We invest in social enterprises because we believe the community is enriched when social and economic inclusion underpins business with purpose.
The WISE Social Enterprises employ a blended workforce where qualified tradespeople, apprentices and industry-experienced staff work alongside people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Together, these teams deliver quality services to corporate and government customers.
The WISE Social Enterprises earn more than $20 million per year through trade, and receive Federal Government funding of less than 2%. Government funding is used to fund some of the supports for staff with complex needs.
We have no shareholders and any surplus funds are invested in workplace support for our employees, apprentice development, our services and the community.
WISE Social Enterprises include:
Clean Force provides quality commercial cleaning services in Melbourne, Bendigo and Sydney for offices, apartment complexes, entertainment venues and vacated residences, as well as roads and grounds maintenance. Clean Force also provides services previously delivered by social enterprise Incito Maintenance, including general handyman services in the northern suburbs of Melbourne to clients including providers of social housing, public housing, aged care and private individuals.
Equity Labour Services (ELS) is a social enterprise in Tasmania delivering vegetation control, litter collection, cleaning services, large-scale mowing/slashing, landscaping and general maintenance. We train and find work for people who face barriers to gaining and retaining employment.
