Am I eligible for WISE Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA)?

In order to be eligible for disability employment support via WISE Inclusive Employment Australia, you must:

  1. Have a medically diagnosed disability, injury, or health condition
  2. Live in Australia
  3. Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  4. Not be a full-time student
  5. Be assessed as having capacity to work less than 30 work hours per week
  6. Be at least 14 years old but have not yet reached Age Pension age (currently age 67)

You do not need to be receiving income support payments from Services Australia / Centrelink to be eligible for IEA job support.

If you meet the above criteria, you may be eligible for free employment support from WISE.

I’m not registered with Centrelink, what’s next for me?

You do not need to be receiving government benefits such as an income support payment or disability support pension (DSP) to be eligible for government-funded employment services, and to register as a job seeker with WISE.

Centrelink will conduct an ESAt (Employment Services Assessment) to verify that you have a medical condition/injury/disability and, subsequently, determine that you are eligible for Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA).

Please get in touch with your local WISE office to discuss further. The WISE team would be able to talk you through and help you with the process. Find your local WISE Employment office or free-call our team on 1800 685 105.

You can get in touch with Centrelink by visiting your local Centrelink office, or creating a myGov account that is linked to Centrelink.

I’m registered with Centrelink and I have a disability/injury/health condition, but don’t have an employment services provider. What do I do?

You can register your interest as a WISE job seeker online, free-call 1800 685 105 during business hours, or get in touch directly with your local WISE office to discuss your eligibility for government-funded employment services.

What if I have another employment services provider?

Want to make a switch? We’re flattered. If you’d like to become registered with WISE,  please call the National Customer Service Line on 1800 805 260 and request a transfer to WISE Employment. We look forward to helping you find work and access related support services.

I’m not eligible for Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA). Are there other options for me?

Yes. Head over to Workforce Australia. You may be eligible for employment assistance by WISE Employment under Workforce Australia if you live in NSW, VIC, SA or WA, you don’t identify as having a disability/injury/health condition, and you are looking for work.

Instead of registering your interest online, we recommend the following:

If you are already registered with Centrelink, but you’re not yet registered with an employment services provider, you can ask Centrelink to direct you to WISE Employment as your first choice Workforce Australia employment services provider.

If you’re not yet registered with Centrelink, please register with them first. You can then ask Centrelink to be referred to WISE Employment.

Once Centrelink has referred you to WISE Employment, please register as a WISE job seeker by calling/visiting in person your nearest WISE Workforce Australia office.
